All about rainforests
Rainforest are forests that are categorised by high rainfall, with annual rainfall in the case of tropical rainforests between 250 and 450 cm, and in definitions varying by region for temperate forest. The monsoon trough, alternatively known as the intertropical convergence zone, plays a significant role in creating the climatic conditions necessary for the earth tropical rainforests.
Climate

A tropical rainforest climate is a tropical climate usually found within 10 to 15° latitude of the equator, and has at least 60 mm of rainfall every month of the year. A tropical rainforest climate is typically hot, very humid and wet.
Location

The largest rainforests are in the Amazon river basin (almost south America), the Congo river basin(western Africa), and throughout much of South East Asia. Smaller rainforest are located in the central America, Madagascar, Australia and nearby islands, India and other locations in the tropic.
Wildlife

Rainforest Animal
Rainforest are tremendously rich in animal life. Rainforests are populated with insects like butterflies and beetles, worms and reptiles like snake and lizard, amphibians like frogs and toads, birds like parrots in toucans and mammals like slots and jaguars.
Endangered/extinct animals
Due to the rapid disappearance of rainforest many animals living in them are now in danger. Every plant and animal need an ideal environment where they can survive. Endangered rainforest animals are golden lion tamarin monkey, gorilla, poison dart frog, Bengal Tiger, hearty eagle, chimpanzee, orangutan, etc.
Vegetation

The tropical rainforest is a hot, moist biome where it rains all year long. It is known for its dense canopies of vegetation that from three different layers. The first layer is small plants like mosses and lichens that grow on the ground and do not get efficient sunlight. The second layer of plants are that climb trees in canopy to reach for sunlight. The third layer is made up of large or tall trees which get enough sunlight for their growth all plants.
